Lutheran World Relief

First Lutheran Church is actively involved in supporting the Lutheran World Relief Ministry through the making of quilts and collections of school & personal care kits.

Quilts

The quilters meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month to assemble quilts.  The FLC quilts go to support both local and global missions including the Lutheran World Relief Ministry.

School & Personal Care Kits

First Lutheran supports the Lutheran World Relief Project Promise by donating supplies for school kits and personal care kits.

Donation of supplies to Project Promise help:

  • Personal Care Kits are shared with people who have lost everything from a natural disaster or life-threatening violence.

  • School Kits are sent to places where even the few required school supplies may be more than a family can afford. Pencils and paper can help write a positive future.
